Last night, I had a wonderful meditation.
I was guided up through a column, not of light as normal, but of non-light. And came to rest in a space, also devoid of light.
I was sitting on a cool, damp rock and sensed that the space I was in was a cave. All around were the growling and screeching of the monsters of my nightmare’s. In my mind, what the noises where coming from, where not monsters, but my fears. And as fears, they are nothing, therefore, there is nothing to fear.
Then the growling and snarling began to disapear with soft, bubble popping sounds. And I was left, sitting alone, on the cool, damp rock, in darkness and in silence. I felt completely safe, like it was the safest place I could ever be. So I sat for a while in the knowledge that I have nothing to fear.
A welcome and timely reminder.
